Vol. 553 No. 5

Written Answers. - Local Authority Projects.

Paul McGrath

Question:

369 Mr. P. McGrath asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if approval has been sought by Westmeath County Council from his Department to appoint builders to construct a one stop shop at Castlepollard, County Westmeath; the date this documentation was lodged in his Department; and the reason for the long delay in approving this project. [14556/02]

My Department received a revised application from Westmeath County Council in April 2002 for funding under the one stop shop scheme for the development of a one stop shop in Castlepollard. Various applications under that scheme are currently being examined and the local authorities concerned will be notified of the position as soon as possible.
