Vol. 553 No. 5

Written Answers. - Departmental Expenditure.

Dan Boyle

Question:

132 Mr. Boyle asked the Minister for Finance the details and his views on the percentage of budget spent in each Government Department in the period from 1 January 2002 to 30 April 2002; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14449/02]

The percentage of budget spent by each ministerial Vote group for the period 1 January to end April 2002 is set out below in Table 1.

At end April, 29.5% of the total allocation provided in the Revised Estimates was spent. This is lower than the expected 33% if spending is spread evenly throughout the year.
