The level of staff resources assigned to the various sections in my Department is kept under constant review. I aim to ensure the most efficient delivery of quality services that the available finite resources allow.
100.Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the steps he has taken to encourage members of staff in his Department to cycle to work; if his Department provides showering facilities; if his Department will supply cycle helmets to ensure safe cycling; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Bicycle parking facilities and showering facilities are available in the majority of my Department's main offices. My Department does not provide cycle helmets for staff who cycle to work. It is my Department's policy to ensure that adequate bicycle parking and showering facilities are made available in all new and refurbished offices.
