Question:

231 Mr. O'Flynn asked the Minister for Defence his intentions for the amenity area at Collins pitch and putt club situated on the grounds of Collins Barracks, Cork city. [17491/02]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 230 and 231 together.

The question of the sale of property surplus to military requirements is under ongoing examination to fund much needed investment to meet the equipment and infrastructure needs of the Defence Forces. No final decision has yet been reached to either dispose of any part of the property known as the Camp Field, at Collins Barracks, Cork, or to retain it within the Department's property portfolio.
