Vol. 554 No. 5

Written Answers. - Cancer Screening Programme.

Paudge Connolly

Question:

916 Mr. Connolly asked the Minister for Health and Children the role the mammography unit, which is currently located in a specially prepared room in Cavan General Hospital, will have in relation to future mammography services at Cavan Hospital. [15432/02]

As the Deputy is aware, responsibility for the provision of services at Cavan General Hospital is a matter for the North-Eastern Health Board. My Department has therefore asked the Chief Executive Officer of the North-Eastern Health Board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply to him directly.
