Question:

990 Ms O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Health and Children if he has released funding to health boards in order to provide free incontinence wear for medical card patients in private nursing homes, in accordance with a Government decision made more than one and a half years ago; if not, the reason therefor; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [15842/02]

My Department is in ongoing contact with the ERHA and the health boards in relation to the funding of services generally, including the provision of incontinence wear to medical card holders in private nursing homes.
