Question:

1105 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Health and Children if a person (details supplied) in County Kildare can obtain an earlier appointment than 2 May 2003 in James Connolly Memorial Hospital, Blanchardstown, Dublin 15; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16447/02]

Responsibility for the provision of health services to persons residing in Counties Dublin, Kildare and Wicklow rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has therefore asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the position in relation to this case and to reply to the Deputy directly.
