Vol. 554 No. 5

Written Answers. - Medical Cards.

John McGuinness

Question:

1108 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason a medical card was refused to a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; and if his Department will review the case and grant a medical card on medical grounds. [16481/02]

Responsibility for the provision of a medical card in this case rests with the South Eastern Health Board. My Department has therefore asked the chief executive officer to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply to him directly.
