Vol. 554 No. 5

Written Answers. - Cystic Fibrosis Services.

Tony Gregory

Question:

1151 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Health and Children his response to the funding needs identified for the treatment of cystic fibrosis (details supplied); and if he will make a statement on the matter. [16814/02]

Services for eligible patients at Beaumont Hospital, Dublin and Temple Street Children's Hospital are provided under an arrangement with the Eastern Regional Health Authority and any proposal to develop services at these hospitals is a matter for the authority in the first instance. My Department has, therefore, asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply directly to him.
