77 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Finance the position in regard to the provision of the new Garda station at Leixlip, County Kildare; when it is expected that the station will be commissioned; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [17865/02]

The Commissioners of Public Works expect to close the sale on the site for the new Garda station in Leixlip in the coming weeks. The timescale for construction will be in accordance with the Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform's priority list under the Garda building programme.
