Vol. 557 No. 5

Written Answers. - Schools Building Projects.

John Bruton

Question:

136 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Education and Science when he intends to start the building project at Moynalty national school following his general response on 13 November 2002 and his letter to a person (details supplied). [22776/02]

My Department has an extensive primary school building programme under way at present and this includes a large number of projects at various stages of architectural planning. My Department is not in a position at present to start architectural planning for further major primary school building projects. In the meantime, the authorities of Moynalty national school should use the devolved grant which is given to all schools on an annual basis to deal with essential health and safety issues.
