148 Ms O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Education and Science if he has signed the ministerial order for the National Adult Learning Council; if not, when he will sign it; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [22936/02]
The ministerial order for the establishment of the National Adult Learning Council, under Part IX, section 54, of the Education Act, 1998, is in course of preparation by my Department in consultation with the Office of the Parliamentary Counsel to the Government. As the order must first be laid before both Houses of the Oireachtas and approved by resolutions, I am not in a position to indicate precisely when I shall be able to sign it but I am anxious to do so as soon as possible.
