Question:

133 Mr. Rabbitte asked the Minister for Transport the main findings of the report of the Taxi Hardship Panel; if it is intended to publish the report; if he intends to implement the recommendations made in the report; if money has been allocated for this purpose in his Department's Estimates for 2003; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [23450/02]

As stated in an Agreed Programme for Government, the Government is committed to the implementation of the recommendations of the Taxi Hardship Panel. I have received the report of the Taxi Hardship Panel and have submitted it to the Government for consideration of a range of issues relating to implementation of the panel recommendations. When the Government has completed consideration of the report, it is my intention to publish it.
