170 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources if he will undertake an update of his Department's website and ensure the server is fully operational as members of the public have not been able to e-mail the Department even though submissions are sought electronically. Updating of website content is carried out on a daily basis.
To date, the Department has received more than 30 submissions electronically in response to the call for views in connection with the preparation of the Strategy Statement for 2003-2005, which was advertised in the daily newspapers and on the Department's website on 5 November 2002. There were minor technical difficulties at the outset of this process which were rectified without delay. I apologise to those people who had difficulty accessing the website and I am very grateful to them for taking the time to send in submissions.
