Vol. 558 No. 4

Written Answers. - Hospital Doctors.

Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

299 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Health and Children when a cardiologist will be appointed at Tralee General Hospital, Tralee, County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24404/02]

The provision of services, including the appointment of consultant staff, is a matter for the Southern Health Board in the first instance. My Department has, therefore, asked the chief executive officer of the board to reply directly to the Deputy on the matter.
