Question:

136 Ms O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs if he has received the results of the review of the Western Development Commission being undertaken by his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [24463/02]

The terms of reference of the review are to examine the purpose, functional area and operation of the Western Development Commission.

The review, being undertaken by officials of my Department, is ongoing. It is expected that the review will be completed and its findings presented to me by end of year.
