Vol. 559 No. 1

Written Answers. - Hospital Waiting Lists.

John McGuinness

Question:

325 Mr. McGuinness asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason an appointment for an angiogram at St. James's Hospital, Dublin, has been cancelled for a person (details supplied) in County Kilkenny; if, in view of this person's urgent need for treatment, an appointment will be made immediately; and if he will make a statement on the delay involved in this case. [25646/02]

The provision of hospital services for people living in County Kilkenny is a matter, in the first instance, for the South-Eastern Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply directly to him.
