193 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Education and Science if an application made by St. Paul's National School, Cloggernagh, Islandeady, Castlebar, County Mayo, for planning permission has been received by his Department; if this application has been investigated; and if he will make a statement on the matter. My Department authorised the school authorities in question to progress this project to an advanced stage of architectural planning. This would have included making an application for planning permission to the local authority. The Deputy will appreciate that matters relating to planning permission are solely a matter for the local authority.
