Question:271 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health and Children if he proposes to introduce regulations or legislation to amend the charter of Hume Street Hospital. [26361/02]
Written Answers. - Hospital Charter.
I can confirm that my Department is in receipt of proposals to amend the charter of the City of Dublin Skin and Cancer Hospital, Hume Street. The precise nature and purpose of the proposed amendments is a matter in the first instance for the hospital's board. Proposals are under active consideration by my Department, in conjunction with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. A meeting is scheduled for later this week, between officials of my Department, the authority and hospital representatives, to progress the matter.
