153 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Communications, Marine and Natural Resources the sections of the Telecommunications Acts covering the regulation of the erection of telephone poles and laying of ducting; the plans he has to review this legislation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. The Communications Regulation Act, 2002, which was enacted on 27 April, makes provision for the regulation of access to public telecommunications infrastructure on public roads for the purposes of laying telecommunications infrastructure.

I have no proposals to review the Act.
