169 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason there is a two week delay in the reading of X-rays for patients in the Carlow area; if he has plans to rectify the situation; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26842/02]

The provision of services in this instance is the responsibility of the South Eastern Health Board. My Department has asked its chief executive officer to reply directly to the Deputy in relation to the matter raised.
