Question:109 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the estimated acreage of land under the control or vestage of the lands division of his Department; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [26950/02]

My Department is involved in the administration of approximately 46 hectares of agricultural land and some 1,300 hectares of non-agricultural land, mainly bogland, previously owned by the former Land Commission and which is now vested in the Minister. This land may only be disposed of in accordance with the provisions of section 8 of the Irish Land Commission (Dissolution) Act, 1992.
