Question:83 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform his Department's plans to carry out refurbishment works to Castledermot Garda station, County Kildare; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [2205/03]

I am informed by the Garda authorities that it is proposed to carry out refurbishment works on Castledermot Garda station and that it is anticipated that the necessary brief of requirements will be completed this year.
Although it is not possible to say at this point when the project will commence, I can assure the Deputy that the matter will be progressed as quickly as overall priorities within the Garda building programme and the availability of financial and other resources allow.
