102 Ms B. Moynihan-Cronin asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of public hospital patients treated under the national treatment purchase fund to the end of 2002 on a county by county basis; the targets for the NTPF for 2003; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3134/03]
A total of 1,920 patients received treatment under the national treatment purchase fund initiative in 2002. The breakdown of this figure on a county by county basis, as requested by the Deputy is not readily available and I have requested that this information be forwarded to the Deputy as a matter of urgency. The target to be treated in 2003 under the national treatment purchase fund initiative is circa 6,000 patients.
