Vol. 561 No. 1

Written Answers. - Medical Cards.

Finian McGrath

Question:

333 Mr. F. McGrath asked the Minister for Health and Children if assistance will be urgently provided to persons (details supplied) to get a medical card for their 30 year old child with an intellectual disability; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3263/03]

Responsibility for the provision of a medical card in this case is, by legislation, the responsibility of the regional chief executive of the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has, therefore, asked him to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply to him directly.
