Question:454 Mr. P. McGrath asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform the date for the publishing of the ground rent Bill; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3831/03]
I propose to take Questions Nos. 453 and 454 together.
The Government legislation programme makes provision for the publication of a ground rent Bill during 2003 with a view to abolishing ground rents. Publication is subject to the resolution of possible constitutional and other difficulties. I am not in a position to give a publication date at this stage.
