Olivia Mitchell

Question:

339 Ms O. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children the number of occupational therapists who are providing services to disabled persons under the age of 65 in Waterford city and county; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [3340/03]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 134 and 339 together.

The provision of health-related services, including occupational therapy, to people with physical and/or sensory disabilities is a matter for the Eastern Regional Health Authority and the health boards in the first instance. Accordingly, the Deputies questions have been referred to the chief executive officer of the South-Eastern Health Board with a request that he examine the matter and reply directly to the Deputies as a matter of urgency.
