Vol. 561 No. 4

Written Answers. - Asylum Applications.

Fergus O'Dowd

Question:

414 Mr. O'Dowd asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform when a decision will be made in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Louth regarding family reunification; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4336/03]

My Department's records indicate that the original application regarding family reunification was refused in July 2000. An appeal against the refusal was received and following re-consideration of the application the original decision was upheld in February 2001. A fresh application in respect of the same persons was lodged and this application was refused in April 2002. A further appeal has been received and a decision on this appeal will issue shortly.
