187 Mr. Kehoe asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the number of times he or his Department have met the IFA, ICMSA, ICSA and Macra na Feirme in the past year; the items discussed; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [4964/03]

I and my officials meet the farming organisations on a very frequent basis to discuss issues of current concern. There have been about 140 formal meetings in the past year in addition to numerous informal contacts.
