Vol. 562 No. 1

Written Answers - Cancer Screening Programme.

Olivia Mitchell

Question:

394 Ms O. Mitchell asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason a reply was not sent to Parliamentary Question No. 205 of 16 October 2002 and Parliamentary Question No. 156 of 11 February 2003; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [5545/03]

The Parliamentary Questions referred to by the Deputy concern the provision of colposcopy services to women in the north eastern region. As responsibility for the provision of these services rests with the North-Eastern Health Board, my Department requested the chief executive officer of the health board to investigate the position in relation to the issues raised and to respond directly to the Deputy.

My Department has been advised that replies to the Parliamentary Questions have issued from the health board to the Deputy. The health board apologises to the Deputy for the delay in replying.

Question No. 395 answered with Question No. 359.
