Question:

330 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Health and Children the way in which a person (details supplied) at St. Luke's Hospital in Dublin, who is deceased, received an appointment for the radiotherapy department; if payments have been made to the hospital for the treatment of this person in the intervening period; the mechanisms which are being put in place to ensure that such an incident is not repeated; and if he will make a statement on the matter. Responsibility for the provision of services at St. Luke's Hospital, Dublin rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has asked the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the matters raised. A further communication will be issued to the Deputy as soon as possible.

331 Dr. Upton asked the Minister for Health and Children when an person (details supplied) in Dublin 12 can receive urgently needed occupational therapy. [6314/03]

The provision of health services in Dublin is a matter for the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has, therefore, asked the chief executive of the authority to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and to reply directly to her, as a matter of urgency.
