Paul Kehoe

Question:

334 Mr. Kehoe asked the Minister for Health and Children the reason a person (details supplied) in County Wexford has had to wait six years for an appointment with a specialist (details supplied) at Waterford Regional Hospital; his views on whether it is acceptable that two years ago this person received correspondence to say they would be seen within a year; if there is an indication of when this person will receive this appointment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6375/03]

The provision of medical services for persons resident in County Wexford is a matter for the South-Eastern Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position and to reply directly to the Deputy.

Billy Timmins

Question:

335 Mr. Timmins asked the Minister for Health and Children the position in relation to a person (details supplied) in County Wicklow; if they can be admitted as a matter of urgency; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6376/03]

Responsibility for the provision of services to residents of County Wicklow rests with the Eastern Regional Health Authority. My Department has, therefore, requested the regional chief executive of the authority to investigate the position in this case and to reply directly to the Deputy.

Michael Ring

Question:

336 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Health and Children when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will be called to Merlin Park hospital, Galway, for operations on both hips. [6388/03]

The provision of medical services in this case is the responsibility of the Western Health Board. My Department has asked the chief executive officer of the board to investigate the position and to reply directly to the Deputy.
