261 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Education and Science the proposals he has to provide additional teaching hours and a special needs assistant for a person (details supplied) in County Waterford; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [6601/03]

I am pleased to inform the Deputy that my Department has recently allocated additional resource teaching hours and special needs assistant hours to the school authority, County Waterford VEC, to cater for the special needs of the pupil concerned.
