Vol. 563 No. 1

Written Answers - Registration of Title.

Bernard Allen

Question:

486 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform when the application made for registration with the Land Registry in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Cork and submitted by Cork City Council will be finalised; and the reason for the delay in having the registration finalised. [6954/03]

I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that the first registration applications in question were lodged on 21 November 2001. Dealing numbers D2001CK014852Y and D2001CK014890G refer.

I am further informed that the Land Registry received two replies to queries which were issued to the lodging solicitors on 22 January, 2003; one on 29 January 2003 and the other on 6 February, 2003. I have been also informed that further queries have issued to the lodging solicitors in relation to the application under dealing number D2001CK014852Y on 7 March 2003 and that this application cannot proceed until the queries raised are dealt with.

The application under dealing number D2001CK014890G is in the final stages of completion and will be ready within the next few weeks. The application under dealing number D2001CK014852Y will receive further attention on receipt of a satisfactory reply to queries raised.
