Vol. 563 No. 4

Written Answers - Health Board Allowances.

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

381 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Health and Children if and when domiciliary care allowance will be awarded in the case of a person (details supplied) in County Kildare in respect of their child (details supplied) who has special needs; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [7929/03]

The assessment of entitlement to and payment of the domiciliary care allowance in any individual case is a matter for the relevant health board. My Department has therefore asked the regional chief executive of the Eastern Regional Health Authority, to investigate the matter raised by the Deputy and reply directly to him.
