Vol. 564 No. 1

Written Answers - Foreign Conflicts.

Aengus Ó Snodaigh

Question:

177 Aengus Ó Snodaigh asked the Minister for Foreign Affairs if Ireland is on the list of 15 secret supporters of the US-British war on Iraq, as referred to by various US officials in public statements. [8778/03]

Ireland is not included in any list of the kind referred to by the Deputy. On the contrary, the Government has been completely open about Ireland's position on this matter. Ireland is not a member of the coalition engaged in military action in Iraq and will continue to maintain over-flight and landing facilities for US aircraft.
