Vol. 564 No. 1

Written Answers - Radon Gas Levels.

Jack Wall

Question:

119 Mr. Wall asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if his attention has been drawn to the call made by the Radiological Protection Institute of Ireland for the introduction of a scheme of grants to assist householders with the cost of reducing high radon gas levels in their homes; if it is intended to introduce such a scheme; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [8762/03]

Bernard J. Durkan

Question:

310 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for the Environment and Local Government if sufficient resources have been made available to the relevant authority to monitor and control the radon gas levels throughout the country; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9012/03]

I propose to take Questions Nos. 119 and 310 together.

I refer to the reply to Question No. 173 of 4 February 2003. The position is unchanged.
