Vol. 564 No. 3

Written Answers - Driving Licences.

John Cregan

Question:

206 Mr. Cregan asked the Minister for Transport the situation with regard to new regulations being introduced on provisional driving licences; and if a system will be introduced to allow settled people to continue driving even if they have failed their test four or five times, particularly where they need to drive due to sick or incapacitated spouses. [9253/03]

I refer the Deputy to my reply to Priority Question No. 80 of Wednesday, 5 February 2003, which refers to the question of changes to the provisional driver licence system.
