114 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a decision will be made on an application by a person (details supplied) in County Roscommon for the approval of the change in lands under the farm retirement scheme; the reason for the delay; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9632/03]
The person named is a transferee under the scheme of early retirement from farming and his father is the transferor. The person named requested permission to vary the use of an area of land which is currently classified as pension land for the purpose of his father's participation in the scheme. Consideration of the request is almost complete and my Department will be in touch with the person shortly.
