309 Mr. Perry asked the Minister for Transport if Iarnród Éireann will retain a signal in the existing Sligo Quay freight branch and depot as part of the extension of the mini CTC signalling project to Sligo; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9585/03]

The issue raised by the Deputy is a day-to-day operational matter for Irish Rail. However, I understand that the mini CTC signalling project is not scheduled for commissioning on the Sligo line until the end of 2005.
