310 Mr. Naughten asked the Minister for Transport the position regarding the Cork Airport development project; the estimated cost of the project; the mechanism to be used to fund the project; when it is intended to sign contracts; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [9593/03]

I refer the Deputy to my answer to Dáil Question No. 193 of 11 March 2003. The position remains unchanged.

With regard to the mechanism used to fund the project I should point out that all developments at the three State airports, including Cork Airport, are funded by Aer Rianta from its own resources and borrowings.
