748 Mr. O'Dowd asked the Minister for Community, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs the money allocated from the national development plan to his Department on a subhead basis for 2003; the sums allocated in each case; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [11540/03]
The information requested by the Deputy is set out in the table below on a subhead basis. This Department is involved in four of the operational programmes under the national development plan. These are the two regional operational programmes – Border, Midland and Western Operational Programme and Southern and Eastern Operational Programme, Productive Sector Operational Programme and Employment and Human Resources Development Operational Programme. The total amount allocated from the national development plan to this Department for 2003 is €155.66 million.
The Deputy might also note, first, the community development programme is funded by the national lottery, second, the €28 million national development plan allocation for Údarás na Gaeltachta under subhead H2 is made up of an allocation of €24million from the Exchequer and €4 million from Údarás na Gaeltachta's own resources and, third, responsibility for the young people's facilities and services fund transferred to this Department in January 2003 from the Department of Education and Science.
