Vol. 566 No. 3

Written Answers. - Hospital Closures.

Paul Nicholas Gogarty

Question:

308 Mr. Gogarty asked the Minister for Health and Children his plans to close St. Luke's Hospital, Dublin. [12629/03]

My Department has invested almost €30 million in the development of St. Luke's Hospital over recent years in order to enhance the provision of radiation oncology services to patients in many parts of the country. This investment is an essential support to the valuable and demanding oncology services provided by the staff at St. Luke's. I can assure the Deputy that I have no plans to close St. Luke's Hospital.
