Michael Ring

Question:

58 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Sligo will receive a REP scheme payment. [13235/03]

The person named has an anniversary date in REPS of 1 April. Processing of applications for annual payments cannot begin before the anniversary date, and the protocol on direct payments to farmers sets a target of ten weeks for the processing of such applications and a further month for the issue of payment.

Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

59 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a suckler cow grant will be made available to a person (details supplied) in County Kerry; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13280/03]

The person named applied for premium for 13 animals under the 2002 suckler cow premium scheme. An 80% advance payment amounting to €896.60 was made on 16 October 2002 and the 20% balance payment for €224.15 issued on 1 May 2003. Payment was made in respect of five animals, which is the number of quota rights on file for the person named.

60 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food when a person (details supplied) in County Mayo will receive a REP scheme payment; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13281/03]

Payment will issue to the person named within the next ten days.

61 Mr. B. Smith asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if a REP scheme payment will be issued without further delay to a person (details supplied) in County Monaghan; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13301/03]

The application from the person named for his annual REPS payment was received in my Department on 17 February and is currently being processed within the time frame agreed in the protocol on direct payments to farmers.
