Vol. 566 No. 5

Written Answers. - Garda Stations.

Jimmy Deenihan

Question:

64 Mr. Deenihan asked the Minister for Finance the number of sites which were offered for the new Garda Station in Castleisland, County Kerry; when a decision will be made on the purchase of suitable sites; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13285/03]

The Commissioners of Public Works assessed ten properties within the Castleisland area for a new Garda station for Department of Justice, Equality and Law Reform. Negotiations are ongoing for the purchase of a site. A final decision will depend on the availability of funding and agreement on price.
