Question:117 Mr. Ring asked the Minister for Finance the organisation or group which has responsibility for the cleaning of a section of river at Mucklagh, Kilmeena, Westport, County Mayo. [14169/03]
Written Answers. - Water and Sewerage Schemes.
As indicated in my reply to Question No. 218 posed by the Deputy on 13 May, the Commissioners of Public Works has no responsibility for the maintenance of any river in the Mucklagh area.
The precise location of the river is unclear from the information provided. There is a section of the drainage district in the Mucklagh area for which Mayo County Council has a maintenance responsibility. The Deputy may wish to take the matter up with the council.
