Question:118 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Finance if and when a person (details supplied) in County Kildare will receive a P45 from her former employers; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [14199/03]

I am informed by the Revenue Commissioners that the inspector of taxes has contacted the taxpayer's employer who has advised that the taxpayer has been on sick leave for a number of years but has not ceased employment with the company. The employer is not in a position to issue a P45 while the taxpayer remains an employee.
