Olwyn Enright

Question:

67 Ms Enright asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the value of live cattle exports for the years 1994 to 2002; and if he will make a statement on the matter. [13922/03]

My Department does not compile statistical information on the value of live cattle exports. In the period 1994 to 2002 close on 2.27 million head of cattle were exported from Ireland. Based on information sourced from the Central Statistics Office the value of cattle exported in the period 1994 to 2001 is estimated at €731.3 million excluding EU export subsidies.
