Vol. 567 No. 7

Written Answers. - Visa Applications.

Finian McGrath

Question:

227 Mr. F. McGrath asked the Minister for Justice, Equality and Law Reform if a person (details supplied) can be facilitated in their application to visit Ireland; and if the maximum support, advice and assistance can be provided in this case. [15053/03]

The visa application in question was refused in February 2003, because it had not been established, on the basis of the documentation supplied to my Department, that the applicant would observe the conditions of a visit visa. Reasons for the refusal were sent to the applicant's mother by e-mail on 13 March 2003. It is open to the applicant to appeal against the refusal by writing to the visa appeals officer in my Department. In this regard, the immigration division, which includes the Visa Office, is located at 13-14 Burgh Quay, Dublin 2.
