Written Answers. - Flood Relief.

Seán Ryan

Question:

275 Mr. S. Ryan asked the Minister for Finance if he will report on plans to clean or dredge the Ward River at Owens Bridge, Lauristown, St. Margaret's, County Dublin in view of the fact that in its present condition the area is prone to heavy flooding. [15449/03]

The Ward River forms part of the Broadmeadow-Ward catchment drainage scheme, which is maintained by the Office of Public Works under the Arterial Drainage Act 1945. The area in question is included in the 2003 east region drainage maintenance programme.
